Right to free education

All individuals will be able to avail the education of their desire. All the students till 25 years of age will receive every arrangement for a comfortable life without them having to pay any fee. After completion of general education, according to one’s ability and desire, the student shall receive free of cost training for skill development required for any job. The parents of children will not face any economic burden as children will be the responsibility of the system. Children will not face any pressure during education and will study what they like and how much they like. They entire education process will support student’s innate interest.

Right to desired employment

After completion of training and attaining required skills, the employment of every individual will remain ensured, in other words, the unemployment crisis will not exist. Since the education is as per interest, naturally employment too will be according to interest. Healthy people between the age of 25-50 would be required to choose a job of their interest and qualification for availing the full benefits of this system.

All the work shall be distributed between people of 25-50 years of age. Qualified persons above the age of 50 years can also volunteer for their desired job. Employment will be compulsory for either of the spouses at any given period. This means every person belonging to the working-age population shall be obliged to choose at least one job so that necessary products and services are created for everybody. The remaining population such as children, teenagers, senior citizens, sick people shall receive everything they desire without doing any job.

Right to demand desired products and services

Everyone shall have the right to place demand for goods and services as per their wish. Every member of the family, whether a child, an aged parent, a husband, a wife, whoever he or she may be, they will all directly demand from the system whatever they want. Since there is no money in this system, there is no obstruction for them to demand unlike today. As per economic systems adopted so far, if individual does not have money, then he cannot go to the market and place demand. So in the new economic system there’s no hindrance in being able to demand. Everybody’s wants will be registered by the system.

Right to avail goods, services and public facilities

All facilities will be equally available for everyone, according to the level of technological advancements in that period. In other words, all individual desires for products/services shall continuously get fulfilled simply by placing orders on the portal designed by the system. You will ask for any product/service you are interested in and system will produce according to demand and deliver it to you. All types of public facilities and amenities shall be available for all citizens of the world. The government shall distribute these facilities equitably per township. These include facilities such as residential land, road, electricity, water, transportation, park, stadium, library, health clubs, etc.

Right to equal power

What happens today is that we hand over our powers to the leaders. We submit to the parliament that in our name they can rule us, i.e. we make them our representative for two things. One is for law making and other is for administration. As per the ULM proposal, government will have only one job. They can only do administration. The right to make laws will remain with the public 24 x 7. The power of law making will remain with the people, it will never be transferred to the leaders. The job of leaders is only to place their research and propose the law, the power to approve law shall remain with people.

Frequently Asked Questions

The term “Universal Life Management” implies a holistic approach to managing life on the planet, with an emphasis on sustainability and inclusivity. ULM seeks to bring about a new system that ensures that not only life’s requirements are met for all, but the adopted system provides a foundation for everybody to live a life of happiness and fulfillment. ULM programs advocate and produce such wisdom of life which can form the basis for a global planning, management and decision making framework that suits all beings.ULM focuses on achieving “sustainable happiness” through a shift in systems, utilizing the democratic tools that are currently available.

ULM philosophy highlights the need to move away from current structures that perpetuate inequality, environmental destruction, and other issues that detract from human well-being. Our focus on happiness suggests a belief that measures of economic success, such as GDP, are inadequate in capturing the true well-being of individuals and societies. The term “Universal” implies that the organization aims to be inclusive of all people and cultures, recognizing the interconnectedness of all life on the planet.

A social system is a complex set of social relationships, institutions, organizations, and patterns of behavior that work together to meet the needs of individuals and groups with in a society. It encompasses the structures, norms, and values that guide interactions between individuals and groups, and is often defined by cultural, economic, political, and historical factors.

A social system refers to the patterned network of social relationships and institutions that form the framework of a society. It includes political systems, economic systems, legal systems, educational systems, political systems, family systems and other institutional arrangements that shape social behavior and interaction.

The existing system is not designed for humans to live a happy life. It does not serve this aim. This is so because the leading thinkers so far, lacked a comprehensive understanding of consciousness, human nature, happiness, and most importantly the basis for common sense in life. This lack of common sense is quite evident in our societal design. For example, our economic theory wrongly assumes human wants are infinite, insatiable and that scarcity is fundamental to economics. As a consequence our economic design excludes the majority from its fold and keeps them as slaves, labourers, poor, etc. It makes 90% of the people as tools of 10%. And the 10% too do not live a secure life when the majority are competing to take their position. Similar inadequacies exist in the political model, educational model, family model and so on.

Thus the basis of our social design is fundamentally contradictory and thus systems fail to deliver the life that humans actually desire. The theme of the existing system is competitive and does not recognize that life is meaningful only when the system is managed in a way that the wishes of all human beings are supported by system. Naturally arising human wants are not at the center point and therefore system is inadequate and lacks sense as is visible by the outcome.

The existing system partially entertains only a tiny percentage of super-affluent people. It excludes the majority from its fold and keeps them as slaves, poor, powerless, etc. Modern society’s socio-economic-political structure creates a substantial population that competes for shared resources, resulting in disparities of wealth and inequality among social classes and genders. Due to differing objectives and interpretations of life, humans cannot make decisions through a unified process, and decisions are often taken authoritatively. Actions taken by society benefit only a small segment of the population, while others and the environment suffer.

Any given system has a theme. The current socio-economic-political system also has a theme. If we try to make improvements to it in one place, then it gives a bad result in another place, i.e. further side effects. This is so because that change will not suit the theme. For example, if we try to increase the GDP growth rate, the environment gets negatively affected. If we continue with the existing theme then it will continue to give the same results, many of which are undesirable. If we make any changes at the base, then the whole theme changes. Since the existing system is fundamentally inadequate when you go to correct the base, in a way the entire theme or system is changed.

The Happiness Centric System is a system for everyone’s golden life. A happiness-centric system is a non-monetary, non-market-based life management system or in other words the theoretical framework for a unified global societal system. It is a global world order that shows how the entire humanity can live within one global system as one family. The Happiness Centric System in this context means that all humans can live the life they desire and live in full joy i.e. everyone can get the education of their choice, can receive the employment of their choice and can avail products and services of their choice. In short, all humans can get all the comforts they desire. In the proposed system, everyone will be financially independent. Everyone will experience real democracy and equality. All kinds of security, freedom, and peace will exist in life.

To achieve the above-mentioned outcome in our life the Happiness Centric System is being proposed, in which a decentralized – centralized approach has been taken to build different forms of socially generated wealth. This next system is democratic, plural in nature, and yet is managed by a centralized system of governance. A system in which power resides with citizens at all times and yet there is a centralized system of management/administration. If this model comes into existence, then problems that occur now will cease to take birth. The new system here means new economics, a new political model, a new lifestyle and cultural model, a new educational model, a new family model, and a new philosophy at the core. All these models combined constitute the system that is being referred to as “Happiness Centric System”.

All these systems together are directed towards the happiness of human life and together constitute happiness centric system in which all requirements are mutually and optimally fulfilled. This system utilizes measures of happiness and life satisfaction to make decisions and assess performance. Our proposal is to integrate system theory and the philosophical framework developed by ULM that presents a novel view of life and an understanding of human consciousness. This new philosophy explains what a human being is, what he wants, and how he functions. It also concludes that the purpose of life is happiness and well-being. The happiness and well-being model created by ULM integrated with system theory gives birth to the happiness centric-system. In short, this framework enables subjective happiness to be defined, planned and managed for in such a way that each individual experiences true freedom, meaningfulness, enjoyment and well-being while living in collective cooperation.
